Trying to Introduce Myself

I might change this introduction page. Just “bear” with me. But I promise I’ll take this project seriously.

Whoever is reading this, you know me as Ernie, Ernesto, or the Trash Bag. It depends on where and how you know me. In any case, I’m still the same person: a queer punk and metal trash bag who enjoys a nice 5-20 mile jog every now and then. I think that’s all I got about myself

But yeah, thank you very much for visiting.

As many of you know, I graduated from University with a Bachelors in English. I didn’t do too much with it since then. Instead, I’m working at a blue collar job and just trying to do my best living on my own with my partner Jessa. I appreciated taking some time off from academia, more now than I did before, but I am starting to miss it.

I decided to make this WordPress page for my poetry because I’ve been drafting and writing poetry for about a year or so now; whenever I get free time from mundanely lifting heavy things at work from 9am to 6pm.

Some of my poetry are indeed finished. Some are just one or two stanzas away from completion. But there are so many works that are in brainstorming purgatory. I would stop working on these for a multitude of reasons: because of writer’s block, lost confidence in its meaning to myself, or just plain forgetfulness.

I hope in going forward with this I can show you all what I have been working on for the past two years. Maybe I can also become inspired to revisit and work on these unfinished works. Most importantly, I hope publishing my stuff here may inspire me to create new poetry.
